More Carnegie Games Off

01 February 2011

Another batch of fixtures in the Carnegie Challenge Cup for 2011 were postponed over the weekend - and for various reasons.

One game that did beat the weather was the clash of the two unbeaten National Conference League sides. Oulton Raiders of Division One and Hunslet Warriors of Division Two met at Raider Park, and it was the visiting Warriors who came out victorious with a 4-12 scoreline.

Elsewhere, the all-Second Division clash between Stanley Rangers and Castleford Panthers was won 16-22 by the Panthers, whilst Shaw Cross Sharks lost to ex-NCL club Widnes St.Maries 16-24, Oldham St.Annes beat Wigan St.Cuthberts 24-10 but Normanton Knights lost to Upton 10-16

The only NCL fixture saw Leigh East beat East Hull 36-14 and they now move into second position in the Premier league.
