Heath Step Closer To Title
18 April 2011
Thatto Heath Crusaders took yet another step closer to the National Conference Premier League leaders title last week with 2 great wins.
... And one of those wins was a 30-14 midweek victory over their closest challengers, Leigh East. They then backed that up by beating Bradford Dudley Hill 38-24 on Saturday, and the title is all but theirs with only 2 games of the regular season to play.
Siddal hammered relegated Wigan St.Judes 44-6 to sit in third place and their game in hand could be vital over the last two games of the season. Wath Brow Hornets are fourth with another 5 teams that are still in contention for play-off places.
At the bottom Bradford Dudley Hill are favourites to join St.Judes and York Acorn in Divison One next season, but they have a game in hand over the teams around them.
In Division One Oulton Raiders sounded out a warning to the Premier league sides for next season thumping a poor Millom side 114-0. Whilst in Division Two Hunslet Warriors went to Cosfields and won 10-76. The Raiders and the Warriors will both be worthy champions of their respective divisions.
